The BMKG said weather satellite data detected cumulonimbus clouds forming west of Bandung in the Bogor region and moving toward the Banten border.
A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck Indonesia's East Java province on Thursday, damaging at least 74 homes, six public facilities and injuring one person, the disaster agency said.
The eruptions came after Indonesia's Geology Agency raised its alert level to the highest on Friday night (Sep 19).
